INTRODUCTORY TWO-PLAYER SET

Introductory Two-Player Set is a Magic: The Gathering starter/beginner set released on 31 December 1996 (30 years ago) with 67 cards in the set, using the set code ITP. An entry-level release designed to teach the game with straightforward cards. On this page you can browse every Introductory Two-Player Set product we track - booster packs, booster boxes and preconstructed decks - and jump straight into the full Introductory Two-Player Set card list with daily updated prices.

The most valuable Introductory Two-Player Set cards right now are Dark Ritual, Island, Power Sink, Sorceress Queen, Swamp and Jayemdae Tome. Dark Ritual leads the set at around €1,65 for a near-mint copy. Prices for every Introductory Two-Player Set single are refreshed daily from Cardmarket, TCGplayer and Cardhoarder, so the ITP value list you see here reflects the current market rather than an old price guide.

Most popular Introductory Two-Player Set cards with players

The Introductory Two-Player Set cards players build with most often include Unsummon, Fireball, Twiddle, Grizzly Bears, Terror, Glasses of Urza and Raise Dead. These are the ITP staples that show up in Commander, Standard and constructed decks, and steady demand is usually what keeps their price from dropping after the set rotates out of print.

Opening Introductory Two-Player Set boosters and booster boxes

A sealed Introductory Two-Player Set booster box is the cheapest way to open ITP cards in bulk, while collector boosters concentrate the foil and extended-art treatments. In Introductory Two-Player Set the chase treatments include Dark Ritual, Island, Power Sink and Sorceress Queen, which only appear in the collector print run - worth knowing before you decide between draft, play and collector boosters.

Introductory Two-Player Set card prices and how we track them

Every ITP single on Magicmark.io carries a market price in EUR and USD, a price trend, and 1-day, 7-day and 30-day averages, rebuilt daily from Cardmarket "from" prices plus other marketplaces. That means the Introductory Two-Player Set price you see is what a near-mint copy actually sells for today, not the value it had at release in 1996. Foils, etched foils and special treatments are priced separately, so you never compare a non-foil ITP rare to its foil version by accident.
